Guise Motors awards

In the 1950's the motoring public increased rapidly and the first motorway, the M1 motorway was constucted.
Our Company is situated on the site that was orginally used to house the caravans for the motorway workers.

The site is called Halt Garage after the railway halt that was orginally sited there.
When the motorway was completed the site was transformed into a fuel station
and a workshop. As motorway travel became the norm and the members of the
public joined the breakdown clubs, The volume of work increased and the garage
became affiliated with all the major motoring organisations.

The current owner and Chairman of the company, Colin Searle, first joined Guise
Motors in 1970 as a mechanic, then quickly progressed to become the garage

manager and brought the company in 1976, and we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year. Over the last
few years the Company's reputation in the Recovery and Breakdown trade has grown and is now among the top
100 Recovery companies in the country.

At Guise Motors we aim to be the very best provider
of breakdown and recovery services to all of our
customers: private individuals, corporate and major
motoring organisations. We achieve this through
the combination of our highly trained team and
extensive fleet. This means we can help with the
recovery of any motorcycle, car and light commercial
vehicle (upto 6Tonne) no matter what the problem
or situation. Plus, we can arrange the repair and
recovery of commercial vehicles through our network
of trusted operators.

All of our technicians and operators are taught to
the latest industry standards by Jimmy Rust, our
own in-house ITSSAR trainer (Independent Training
Scheme and Standards Register). Jimmy is also
an IVR Instructor (Institute of Vehicle Recovery)
for Light Recovery Training, and was one of the
first to qualify to teach the new style modular

a comprehensive induction programme, which
includes customer care, hazard awareness, fire
training, mechanical knowledge, risk assessment,
motorcycle recovery and light vehicle recovery.
